Fall Warm Up & CanSkate Clinics

Fall Warm-Up is open to skaters in STAR 1, STAR 2, STAR 3, STAR 4 and STAR 5 & Up. The On Ice and Off Ice sessions will take place on Saturday, September 7th. Please see the schedule below.

CanSkate Clinics (Program Assistant Training) is open to skaters in STAR 2, STAR 3, STAR 4 and STAR 5 & Up. The PA training will take place on Saturday, September 7th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Lunch will be provided. Please come prepared knowing which day(s) you will be able to Program Assist.

There is no cost to participate but you must log into your account ( https://register.rpfsc.ca ) and register your attendance (Warm-Up and/or PA Training) by Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019.  Choose from:

  • Star 1 – 4 Saturday Warm-up – Fall 2019
  • Star 5 Saturday Warm-up – Fall 2019
  • Star 2 – 5 & Up Program Assistant Training Clinic – Fall 2019

Skaters must be registered for the Fall/Winter 2019/20 season and have paid their registration fees prior to being permitted on the ice.

Open Ice for Star 2 to 5 and up

Before lessons officially begin, we would like to welcome our skaters back. To get a jump start on skating, we will be offering two Open Ice sessions for registered skaters in STAR 2, STAR 3, STAR 4 and STAR 5 & Up.

  • Tuesday September 3 @ 3:45 – 5:30 PM (Star 2 – 5 & Up Tuesday Open Ice – Fall 2019)
  • Thursday, September 5 @ 3:45 – 5:30 PM (Star 2 – 5 & Up Thursday Open Ice – Fall 2019)

2019-20 Fall & Winter Skating Programs

Priority Registration for 2019/20 Skating will open at 7:00 am on Monday, August 12 for current RPFSC Members.

Registration will open to the public at 7:00 am on Monday, August 19 and will remain open on a first come first serve basis until sessions are full.

Holiday Buy-On Skating Schedule

We will have 3 Buy-On sessions for PreStar, Star 1 to 5 and up available during the winter break. Session times are listed below. If you would like to skate:

  1. Log into your UpLifter account
  2. Select “Registration
  3. Click “Purchase Products” button in the left hand column
  4. Click “Add” button next to the session you wish to register for. These sessions will be added to your Shopping Cart.
  5. When you have selected your sessions, go to “View Cart” and proceed to confirm your billing information and pay.

Winter Skills Display and Family Skate – Saturday, December 15, 2018

This Annual event consists of a Skating Display, followed by our Family Skate. Photography is allowed at this event.

The Skating Display will showcase skaters from our PreStar and STAR 1-5 & Up programs. They are working on something festive. Come enjoy the show!

All RPFSC members and their family are welcome to skate at Family SkateThere will be complimentary skate rentals and helmets available from 10:45am – 12.00pm. In the interest of safety, and depending on the number of participants, there will be two 30-minute sessions. All non-registered RPFSC skaters must sign in before stepping on the ice and are required to wear a CSA certified hockey or skating helmet. These requirements are essential for insurance coverage.

Note: ALL LESSONS will be CANCELLED on December 15th, 2018.

Please see the schedule below and ensure your skater(s) arrives on time if they are part of the Skills Display.

Winter Warm Up and Program Assistant Training – Saturday, September 8

Our Annual Winter Warm Up and Program Assistant Training will take place on Saturday, September 8 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The Winter Warm Up is for skaters in STAR 1, STAR 2, STAR 3, STAR 4 and STAR 5 and up. Your skater must be registered for Fall session in order to participate in the On-Ice portions of the day.

Program Assistant Training (CanSkate Clinic) 

Skaters who are in Star 2 and up who wish to Program Assist CanSkate during the 2018/19 Skating Season are asked to attend the CanSkate Clinic. Please come with the days you will be available to Program Assist for September to December.

CanSkate sessions run on:

  • Tuesdays – 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm
  • Thursdays – 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm
  • Saturdays – 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm

Registration for 2018-19 Fall Winter Lessons

Hope you have been enjoying our summer so far. Hard to believe we are getting ready for Fall!

Priority Registration for CanSkate will open to our current RPFSC members on Thursday, August 9 at 7:00 am.

Registration for CanSkate will then open to the public on Wednesday, August 15 at 7:00 am and will remain open on a first come first serve basis until all classes are full.

Registration for PreStar, Star 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 and up will open on Monday, August 20 at 7:00 am. Skaters who wish to register in these sessions require approval from RPFSC’s Head Coach before registering.

Registration for Summer Session

Our Summer Skating session will run from Tuesday, July 4 to Monday, August 10.

Registration for Summer CanSkate lessons (excluding Adult CanSkate) is now open and will remain open on a first come first serve basis until all classes are filled.

Registration for Adult CanSkate, PreStar and Stars 1-5 and up will open Saturday, June 16 at 7:00 am. Skaters in the PreStar and Star Programs who wish to register in these sessions will require the Head Coach’s approval before registering in our system.

Registration for Spring Skating

Our Spring session will run from Tuesday, April 3 to Monday, June 25.

Priority registration will open to our members on Wednesday, March 7 at 7:00 am.
Registration to the public will open on Monday, March 12 at 7:00 am and will continue on a first come first serve basis until all classes are full.
