Diana is an experienced figure skating coach with an international background in Canada and Europe. She works with skaters of all levels, from beginners to competitive athletes, and is currently pursuing her Level 3 NCCP certification.
As the daughter of the Founder and Director of the Academy of Figure Skating in Kyiv, Ukraine, Diana has led training programs and mentored athletes since 2010. In Canada, she has coached at several skating clubs in British Columbia and Alberta.
Diana holds both a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA in Olympic Winter Sports from the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine, where she trained as a professional figure skating coach and choreographer.
Originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, Diana began skating at the age of six and competed for more than 15 years at the national and international levels. She is passionate about helping skaters develop strong technical skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Director of Skating & Head Coach

JJ began skating in Ontario at the age of two and quickly developed a lifelong love for the sport. Elvis Stojko has always been her greatest skating inspiration, and the spread eagle remains her favourite skating element. As a coach, JJ is known for her patient and encouraging approach and enjoys helping skaters overcome challenges and celebrating their progress as they gain as they master new skills. Alongside coaching, JJ has built a career in the finance sector, balancing her professional career with her passion for figure skating.
Regional Coach

Stephanie first learned to skate at the age of three and began figure skating when she was seven. She has been a member of Riley Park Figure Skating Club since 2011, first as a skater and now as a coach. Her favourite skating elements are sit spin variations, particularly the pike and broken-leg sit spins. Stephanie enjoys watching skaters develop confidence and a love for the sport while progressing at their own pace. She brings energy and enthusiasm to every lesson, encouraging skaters to discover the same joy, movement, and sense of community that figure skating has brought to her life. Stephanie is currently studying Industrial Design at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. and hopes to continue coaching while pursuing a career in design.

Chelsea began skating at the age of two at Champs International Skating Centre of BC and has enjoyed the sport ever since. She especially loves dance elements and pattern dances and draws inspiration from Kaori Sakamoto. As a coach, Chelsea enjoys working with skaters of all ages and sharing the sport that has shaped both her athletic development and personal growth. Her greatest coaching strength is recognizing each skater’s individual strengths and identifying opportunities for development. She is committed to creating a welcoming, encouraging environment where every skater feels supported both on and off the ice. Chelsea is currently studying at Simon Fraser University with plans to pursue accounting and entrepreneurship.

Lucy has lived in Vancouver her entire life and began skating at Riley Park Figure Skating Club in 2005. She graduated from the University of British Columbia and is currently working toward becoming a teacher. Lucy especially enjoys practicing jumps and spins, with the salchow and sit spin among her favourite skating elements. Her favourite part of coaching is helping skaters achieve new skills. She brings patience, encouragement, and a supportive approach to every lesson and is committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment where every skater feels included, and excited to come to the rink. Outside of skating, Lucy enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with her dog, and being with her siblings.

Emma began skating at Riley Park Figure Skating Club at the age of three and has enjoyed being part of the skating community ever since. One of her favourite skating elements is the low move, a field movement element that showcases control and flexibility. Emma enjoys helping skaters learn new skills and refine their technique, and she considers her communication skills and attention to detail to be her greatest coaching strengths. She hopes to inspire a lifelong love of skating and show that people of all ages can enjoy the sport. Emma plans to pursue a career in a museum or art gallery while continuing to coach.

Karena grew up figure skating in Ontario before moving to Vancouver for university, where she joined Riley Park Figure Skating Club. She especially enjoys learning new spins and spin variations, and her favourite skill to teach is the three-turn because it is both fundamental and rewarding to master. As a coach, Karena is patient and encouraging and enjoys seeing skaters improve their skills and build confidence throughout each season.
CanSkate Coach

Tierney began skating as a toddler at Sunset Skating Club before continuing her StarSkate training and later joining Riley Park Figure Skating Club in high school. Her favourite skating element is the layback spin and growing up she was inspired by Canadian figure skater Joannie Rochette and South Korean figure skater Yuna Kim. As a coach, Tierney enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience while giving back to the skating community that has meant so much to her. She considers her patience, positivity, and cheerful nature to be her greatest coaching strengths and strives to create a safe, welcoming environment where every skater can develop new skills, and enjoy learning.
